When comparing Avram Grant, the surprising hire as Chelsea’s manager, to the “first man landing on the moon” to Ran Ben Shimon, it may sound to be a bit of overstatement.  The mission behind this website is quite simple…

The Avram Grant story is a remarkable and amazing fairytale of achievement.

This website is an homage to the professional journey and career of Avram Grant.   It’s a salute. A definition of what truly makes someone special.

It is a definition of a leader, a class act, man of integrity… and ultimately The Chosen One.

“Avram will make what decision is right for him. The Blue’s fans are the ones who cannot make up their minds about him, for most of the season he was an unqualified coach, out of his league, and a mere faded shadow of the special one – now he is a folk hero that taken the Blues to new heights. With this kind of hypocrisy, one can only assume you all owe this guy an apology for the way you treated him. For an unqualified coach, he sure knows a lot”.
(The Sun Newspaper, Reader comments, May 7, 2008):

When someone looks back on the 2008 season they will come to just one conclusion: It was an extraordinary achievement over a hostile, and snobbish English press that genuinely seem to hate him. It is also a triumph over the ignorant Chelsea loyals that insulted him, and his own players that were influenced by the mob. And over Peter Cenyon, the chief executive, who refused to give him support during this most difficult time, while Grant endured death threats, sexual threats against his wife, and a shameless reception of his 80- year old holocaust survivor father, by Chelsea fans.

“This may have done little or nothing to further his defense against the argument, almost universally accepted until recently, that he was totally unqualified to walk, and or even talk, in the footsteps of his predecessor, Jose Mourinho.
However, it didn’t harm the opinion that, “if he isn’t a better football manager, he may be a better man”.
(The Independent Newspaper, James Lawton article, Tuesday, May 13, 2008)

Contrary to the  big egos, the arrogance and the insulting opponents – Avram displays class, deep understanding, and humility.

“Respect the man who always looks on the bright side of things. It is impossible not to admire Grant over the past few months.” (Scottland Newspaper on Sunday, May 4, 2008)
